With a defining theme of “pursuing true beauty”, HABA laboratories develops high quality beauty products that enhance the natural healing power of the skin. The Japanese based skin care company is opening their first U.S. store in Portland’s urban center.

The 800 square foot space was converted from a juice bar to a showroom with make-up counter, and office area.

The clean, modern design of the space lends itself perfectly to the product it is displaying. The design utilizes contrast between white washed walls and richly colored accents to emphasize the products on display.

Located in an old downtown building a distinctive and unique lighting design for the space was a must. A continuous band of cove lighting was provided to heighten space and spot lighting was used to enhance the original relief panels in the ceiling.
